Ziggy training course

Ziggy and the Singing Insects is a fun and stimulating learning kit that introduces children to the world of sound, movement, natural science and technology.

Created in collaboration with the Réseau BIBLIO de l'Outaouais, the animated narrative thread allows youngsters to follow Ziggy on his adventure to find a way to make sounds and music by meeting other sound insects.

They learn by manipulating a micro:bit microcontroller, discovering microgames and its sensors. An interactive educational trail that offers musical and technological awakening for ages 6 and up, enriched with notions about Nature Sciences (insects, bio-mimicry), sensory games and associations between movement, image and sound.In the parallel universe of the GénieSphère™, Ziggy the cicada serenades us with his sound and is sure to stimulate your youngsters with his interactive and tactile trail.

Additional information:

• Age: from 7 years old with supervision - from 10 in autonomy
• Grade level: 1st and 2nd cycle of primary school (Quebec)
• Duration: 3 sections of 25 minutes

• 1 Solid plastic box and protective foam
• 1 Ziggy circuit board

• 1 USB cable (USB-A to Micro-USB) if the micro:bit is included
• 1 guide to connecting to the online platform
• 1 user code for the virtual learning platform
• Note: The micro:bit is sold separately and/or included when purchased as an option

Not included:

• 1 x micro:bit microcontroller (possible as an option)
• 2 x AAA batteries.

A micro:bit is a programmable nano-computer with integrated sensors and actuators, making it easy to learn how to use programming and coding software.
